jovli Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and LaboraDX LLC ("jovli," "we" or "us") for your use of the jovli app and website. By creating an account or using jovli, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use jovli.

jovli is in beta. For now, you invest with practice money, so nothing you do in jovli uses real money.

• Your practice balance has no cash value. It cannot be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for anything.
• Practice trades are simulated. They do not buy or sell real shares.
• Practice results do not show what would happen with real money. Real trades can fill at different prices, and real investing can lose money.
• Because jovli is in beta, features may change, break or be removed, and we may reset practice accounts. We will try to give notice first.

jovli is an educational tool. Nothing in jovli is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.

• Company cards, risk levels, sectors, filters and matches help you learn and explore. They are not a judgment about whether an investment is right for you.
• jovli is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Practice accounts are provided through our partner, Alpaca Securities.
• Before investing real money, do your own research and consider talking to a licensed financial professional.
• Past performance does not predict future results.

We work to keep information in jovli accurate, but we cannot guarantee it.

• Prices may be delayed and may not match prices elsewhere. A price shown as "Delayed" or "Market closed" may be out of date.
• Company descriptions, strengths, risks, sectors and risk levels are written by jovli for education. They are simplified and may be incomplete or out of date.
• Sectors follow industry standard classifications where available. Risk levels are jovli's own judgment, not a rating from any regulator or ratings agency.
• Company names and logos belong to their owners. Their appearance in jovli does not mean they endorse or partner with jovli.

The Startups section shows early-stage companies.

• Cards marked DEMO are made up for testing. They are not real companies, and their offers cannot be redeemed.
• Startups are early-stage and risky, and many fail. If one closes or changes plans, an offer it made may never arrive.
• Startups write their own descriptions. jovli has not checked them, and listing a startup is not an endorsement.
• jovli does not currently offer equity, loans or any other investment in startups.
• If you create a startup card, you must first accept the separate Founder Agreement.

• You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States to use jovli. By creating an account, you confirm that you are.
• If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we may close it.
• Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person.
• Pick a username that is not offensive and does not pretend to be someone else.

Friends is optional. You can connect with people you know by username or invite link, and a request must be accepted before you are friends.

• If you turn on sharing, the companies you own can appear in your friends' combined "Owned by friends" list. It shows company names only. It never shows amounts, percentages, gains, losses or any other indicator, and it is not tied to any person.
• Sharing is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time with the switch at the top of the Friends page.
• Use Friends kindly. Do not use it to harass anyone or to send requests to people who do not want them.
• Nothing in the Friends page is advice, and what a friend owns is not a recommendation.

You agree not to:

• Break the law or help anyone else break it while using jovli
• Harass other users or misuse the Friends feature
• Misuse the report and block tools, for example by sending false reports
• Try to access other users' accounts or data
• Copy, scrape or resell jovli's content or data
• Interfere with how jovli works, or try to get around its security
• Use automated tools to create accounts or use the app

The jovli name, logo, design, card text and software belong to jovli. You may use them only to use the app as intended.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve jovli without paying you or owing you anything.

You can delete your account at any time with Delete account on the Profile page. Deleting removes your account and its data as described in our Privacy Policy, and closes your practice account. Your practice balance ends, and deleting cannot be undone.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we end the beta. When we close an account, your practice account is closed too.

If an account is reported or breaks these terms, we may reset its username or suspend it. A suspended account cannot use jovli. If you think we made a mistake, email us at the address below and we will look again.

If you get jovli from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple's EULA") applies to your license to use the app, in addition to these terms. If the two disagree about your license to use the app, Apple's EULA controls. For everything else, including your account, practice money, Friends and Startups, these terms apply.

These terms are between you and LaboraDX LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for jovli, for support, or for any claim about it. Questions, complaints and claims about jovli go to us at the address below.

jovli is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that jovli will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, jovli is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any investment decisions you make, including decisions made with real money outside jovli. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to $100.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

We may update these terms. If we do, we will update the date at the top, and for important changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using jovli after that, you agree to the new terms.
